What is Samfunnskunnskapsprøven?
The test covers knowledge about life in Norway. Topics include work, family, health, democracy and everyday finances. Start with the official learning material at samfunnskunnskap.no, then use practice questions to find what you need to review.
The official test has 38 questions. Of these, 34 count towards your result, and you need at least 26 correct answers to pass. You have up to 60 minutes. The test includes multiple-choice and picture questions. Our examples below are text exercises, so use the official example test to learn the picture-task format too.
How to use the free examples
Read the whole question before looking at the options. Choose one answer, then open the explanation. Ask yourself why the other options do not answer the question. A correct guess is still a topic worth reviewing.
These are our own practice questions, not official exam questions. The small sample is a way to try the learning method; it does not cover the whole curriculum or predict whether you will pass.
Build a study routine you can repeat
Choose one topic for a short session. Read a little, explain one idea in your own words, and answer a few questions. Keep a list of the terms you still mix up. At your next session, review those terms first.
Once you understand the main topics, a timed mock exam can help you practise concentrating for a longer session. Full mock exams in Statsborgerklar require paid access. You can check the current options on the prices page.
